Ennovamark develop air care technology focused on the relationship between fragrance, material structure and passive dispersal. The aim is to understand how material-led design can support controlled passive fragrance delivery without relying on powered dispersal.
Our work examines what happens before fragrance reaches the surrounding air - how it is held within a medium, how it moves through that material and how physical structure can influence release.
This approach has led to Zoned Dispersal Pathway™ - Ennovamark's patent-pending fragrance delivery technology and its first commercial air care application, Ethicork™.
Fragrance performance can be influenced by more than one thing. The material carrying the fragrance, its physical structure, exposed surface and surrounding conditions can all affect how fragrance moves and evaporates.
From Natural Cork to Fragrance Delivery.
See how Ennovamark are exploring FSC-certified natural cork as an engineered fragrance medium for passive air care. This technology-led approach combines material structure with fragrance delivery and has been recognised as a finalist for Technological Innovation of the Year at the European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards 2026.
A Structured Path for Fragrance.
Zoned Dispersal Pathway™ - ZDP™ - is Ennovamark's patent-pending fragrance delivery technology.
Selected regions within a fragrance medium are engineered to influence how fragrance moves through the material before reaching exposed surfaces for passive release.
Rather than treating the fragrance medium as a uniform carrier, ZDP™ makes material structure part of the fragrance delivery system.

Ethicork™ is the first commercial air care application of Zoned Dispersal Pathway™.
It combines ZDP™ with an engineered natural cork fragrance medium to create a solid passive air care format for commercial environments.
The dedicated Ethicork™ page covers the product, performance, applications and cork-based format in full.
Air care performance also depends on the environment in which a system operates. Placement, airflow, temperature, intensity, servicing intervals and scent perception can all influence the experience of fragrance in commercial spaces.
Ennovamark's Air Care Insights brings together research-led guidance on these wider factors, including passive and active systems, fragrance delivery, bad smell reduction and practical air care decisions.
Passive air care does not use a powered element to drive fragrance into the surrounding environment.

Fragrance release is influenced by the interaction between the fragrance medium, exposed surface, ambient conditions and natural air movement.
For Ennovamark, this creates an important area for research: how the physical design of the fragrance medium can contribute to controlled passive fragrance delivery.
Explore answers to common questions about air care technology, passive fragrance delivery, Zoned Dispersal Pathway™ (ZDP™) and how Ennovamark applies material science to commercial air care.
Air care technology covers the materials, formats and delivery mechanisms used to hold, release or disperse fragrance within an environment.
Fragrance delivery technology describes the method or system used to move fragrance from its stored form into the surrounding air. It can include passive material-based systems or powered delivery formats.
Passive fragrance delivery releases fragrance without using a powered element to drive dispersal. Performance is influenced by factors including the fragrance medium, exposed surface, surrounding conditions and natural air movement.
Ennovamark have developed Zoned Dispersal Pathway™ - ZDP™ - a patent-pending fragrance delivery technology that uses engineered regions within a fragrance medium to influence fragrance movement and passive release.
Zoned Dispersal Pathway™ is Ennovamark's patent-pending technology for influencing fragrance movement through engineered regions within a fragrance medium. A dedicated ZDP™ page explains the technology in more detail.
Ethicork™ is the first commercial air care application of Zoned Dispersal Pathway™ technology. It applies ZDP™ within an engineered natural cork fragrance medium.
Zoned Dispersal Pathway™ was conceived and developed by Matthew Wonnacott through Ennovamark, an agency he founded in October 2022.
